Team reviews aren't working properly yet
In Avera 0.1.22, shared reviews between teammates may not work as expected. We're working on a fix, targeted for 25 Oct 2026. Solo reviews, the Library and Notebook are not affected.
PDF annotations may not always save
In some cases, highlights or comments on PDFs may not persist after reopening a paper. A fix is in testing for 0.1.23.

- Open multiple documents in tabs — papers, notes, manuscripts, and PDFs
- Split the workspace to read a PDF beside your notes
- Toggle light and dark themes
- Search across papers and notes from the global search bar (⌘K / Ctrl+K)
- Open the command palette (⌘P / Ctrl+P) to jump between workspaces and find papers, notes, manuscripts, and reviews
- Use keyboard shortcuts for common actions (library search, save note, writer commands)
- Run locally without signing in; cloud features unlock when you sign in and subscribe
- Auto-save manuscripts and notes as you work
