How do I cancel?
Open Avera → Account → Billing and open the Customer Portal to cancel anytime. When you cancel, Avera exports your Notebook and Writer data as zip files. You keep free-tier editing after that: your first manuscript and your notes up to the free limit stay editable, and anything above those limits becomes read-only. Sync stops 30 days after you cancel. Your data stays stored locally in the app. 60 days after you cancel, your data is deleted from Avera’s servers.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your library and PDFs on your Mac are not removed when you cancel — they stay in the app on your device. You can still edit within free-tier limits (see “How do I cancel?”). Notebook, Writer exports, sync timing, and cloud retention are covered there too.
Which platforms are supported?
Avera is available for macOS on Apple Silicon (M1 or later) today. Windows is in the works; Intel Mac builds are not offered yet.
